Custom wedding & engagement guide


1. Submit Your Custom Request

Start by exploring all the information here. When you’re ready, visit the Book an appointment page to provide essential details about your custom design. The more details you provide, the better I can assist you in creating something truly special. Please allow up to a week for a response, as each bespoke request is thoughtfully reviewed and prepared. I review requests in the order they are received and will get back to you as soon as possible.

If you have a specific date by which you need the finished ring (for example, before a trip), please let me know so I can accommodate your timeline. Please note that custom work may take 6 to 12 weeks, depending on the complexity of the piece. Custom engagement rings start at $5,000 plus HST, while custom wedding bands begin at $2,000 plus HST.

2. Design

Once I have all the details about your request, I will reach out to you via email. This message will typically include:

  • Thoughts and considerations regarding your design.

  • You will receive a copy of Pompei's custom work agreement, outlining in detail how a custom project unfolds.

  • Stone options, including specifications, descriptions, and (when available) photos and videos.

  • Pricing for each customization option within your budget. If I can’t meet your budget, I’ll let you know and we can work together to find an alternative you’ll love!

The design process is a collaborative conversation, and we’ll continue exchanging emails to refine the perfect option for you. Once we are on the same page regarding the potential design, I will ask you to place a $500 plus HST design fee, which will provide you with 2D drawings, 3D renderings, and quotes. Please note that this fee is non-refundable.

3. Creation

After we finalize the design, I will ask you to place a 50% deposit or pay for your center stone in full. Please note that deposits are non-refundable. Once payment is received, I will begin crafting your custom piece. Every step— from fabricating or hand-carving the wax model to casting, polishing, and setting— is done with care using locally sourced materials and stones. The vendors I work with are local family businesses that I have partnered with for years.

Please note that the 6 to 12-week timeline starts once you placed a payment for your custom project. Depending on the complexity of your request and the time of year, production may take longer than usual. I will keep you updated on the expected timeline throughout the process.
